The newsletter „Habsburg LogBook – Naval Heritage & Collections“ serves as a platform for connecting researchers, scholars, and curators engaged with the collections, legacy, and remembrance of the Habsburg Imperial and Royal Navy.

In December 2024, the workshop „Provenance research with a focus on collections of the Imperial Navy of Austria-Hungary“ at the Weltmuseum Wien brought together curators, provenance researchers and naval historians who study the collections, expeditions and legacy of the Habsburg naval power. During this workshop, the idea arose to form an informal interdisciplinary research network for all interested parties.
The ‚Habsburg LogBook – Naval Heritage & Collections‘ newsletter functions as an e-paper bulletin for this interdisciplinary research network. While facilitating internal exchange, it is also explicitly aimed at reaching a broader, interested audience.
Operating as a flexible network without a rigid institutional framework, the Interdisciplinary Research Network invites experts, researchers, and institutions to subscribe to its e-paper ‚Habsburg LogBook – Naval Heritage & Collections‚ and contribute to the ongoing exchange.
The Habsburg LogBook – Naval Heritage & Collections is free of charge. To receive the download link for each issue, please subscribe to the newsletter.
