Habsburg Logbook – Naval Heritage & Collections is an e-paper newsletter dedicated to the study of the collections, expeditions, and material legacy of the Imperial and Royal Austro-Hungarian Navy.
It brings together curators, provenance researchers, maritime historians, and other scholars interested in the global networks, scientific activities, and collecting practices connected with the Habsburg naval tradition.
The newsletter is published four times a year and serves as a platform for interdisciplinary exchange. It presents ongoing research, highlights individual objects and collections, and shares information on exhibitions, publications, and current projects related to the heritage of the Habsburg Navy. While primarily addressing specialists in the field, Logbook also aims to reach a wider audience interested in maritime history and museum collections.
Conceived as part of an open and flexible research network without a fixed institutional framework, the newsletter encourages collaboration and dialogue across disciplines and institutions. Experts, researchers, and institutions are warmly invited to subscribe and to contribute to this exchange.
Contributions addressing research questions, individual objects, exhibitions, or recent publications are very welcome.
